Vehicle Description
This custom 1960 Ford Starliner known as "Scarliner" is powered by
a 2006 Ford GT-derived Lysholm twin-screw supercharged 5.4-liter
aluminum 8-cylinder engine, modified with forged crank and pistons,
pushing out 550hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque. Power is backed by a
Ford Lightning-derived 4R100 transmission down to a custom 9-inch
differential built by BS Industries. Additional mechanical
modifications and changes include polished headers, Borla mufflers,
a custom stainless-steel fuel tank, 14-inch Porsche GT3-derived
carbon-ceramic brakes with ABS and a push-to-start ignition.
"Scarliner" sits on an Art Morrison chassis completed with Art
Morrison MaxG Profile independent front suspension and Art Morrison
MaxG Profile triangulated 4-link rear suspension. It rides on
Bonspeed Wildthang wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R
radial tires, including 18-inch-wide rear tires. This restored and
custom Ford Starliner is finished in Viper Red paint. It has a
black leather and Alcantara interior with a custom center console,
power seats and a Ford GT dashboard. "Scarliner" was built by Bodie
Stroud and has been featured in places like Popular Hot Rodding
magazine, "Jay Leno's Garage" and MotorTrend magazine. It's also
the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in Design award from
Ford and won Best in Show at SEMA. ** PREVIEW
