1973 Buick Le Sabre Custom
Excellent condition - Extremely low original miles. Looks like new. Mint interior. As much rust on the under carriage as one would expect of a car that is 51 years and driven less than a 1000 miles a year - not much. Was only ever used to go to the beach on weekends. Never used for work or in winter. It has always been stored indoors. The 1 ding (pic) helps to make it look real.
I’d give it a rating 4.5/5 because the window rubber seals haven’t been done yet. There was a minor (just body) fender bender on the front passenger side; taken care of 45 years ago. As well, the trunk was broken into during a garage break-in .... probably with a crowbar and as such, a very slight gap still exists along the contact area between the trunk roof and the body(pic).
Recent work done (within the last 3 years) on this 350 cu in (5.7 l) 4bbl V8 small block engine includes: New main seal. New master cylinder. New hydraulic lines. New hoses. New tires. New gas tank. New muffler with new pipe to go with it.
Original motor. No modifications. No engine issues. Safetied and Insured in province. Purrs like a kitten. While driving, the ride feels like a sofa moving on a cloud.
Non smoking interior - mint condition as the front and rear upholstered beige seats - have always been covered by 2 layers of custom seat covers(pic) and the carpet always had two layers of rubber mats. Interior door paneling is white leather. Original AM radio. No air conditioning. Absolutely flawless dash and steering wheel. Really ... its pretty much brand new inside - all original.
Pictures of what's under the hood as well as in the cabin coming shortly. I write in the restoration history that the car wasn't restored because it was never run down to a level where restoration was called for. The car was always kept in a covered and secure environment ... in tip top shape. I would call it being updated to today's standards.
