For Sale: 1965 Ferrari 365 GTC in Huntington Station, New York
-Black with Natural Tan leather interior and Black carpeting,
Restored, 57,000 Miles, 4.4 Liter V12 engine, 5-Speed Transaxle
Gearbox, Factory air conditioning, Campagnolo wheels, Documented by
Massini, The very first of 168 total manufactured (156 LHD & 22 RHD
examples) and the factory brochure car.
The first production 365 GTC and the factory brochure car, 1 of 156
LHD examples, certainly special even considering the limited
production of the model in total. Manufactured, July 26, 1968, this
365 kept through the end of 1968 at the factory, where it was
utilized for testing, official Carrozzeria Pininfarina photographs
of the model as well as various Ferrari factory promotional
outings.
In January 1969 it was released to the famed Roman official dealer
Allegretti and then to its first registered owner, local resident
Vincenzo Gambino. Gambino occasionally had the car serviced and
maintained while his ownership at the factory Assistenza Clienti in
Modena. In December 1971, the car passed to its second owner,
Angelo Pardo of Catania, then in 1973 to TE.CO. Srl, a telephone
construction company in Aprilia. In 1974, the 365 GTC passed to its
fourth owner Bruno Rossi, then in 1977 to fifth owner Guido Sanzo
of Rome.
In 1982, the 365 GTC was exported to the United States. In 1983, it
was advertised for sale in the Los Angeles Times and while in the
ownership of Mr. Richard Goodwin, President of Borrani America. It
then changed hands a few time prior to being purchased its next and
long term owner in the Pacific Northwest. According to information
within its history file, between 1989 and 1990 and while in he
ownership of well known and respected Ferrari collector Tom Price,
this GTC underwent a meticulous full restoration by the noted
Ferrari restorer, Wayne Obry, Motion Products, Inc., Neenah,
Wisconsin. Subsequent owners have been well-known vintage racer
Edie Arrowsmith as well as Google CEO, Eric Schmidt.
To this day Its fit and finishes remain in spectacular condition
throughout. With excellent documented provenance from new, it is
ready for immediate use and as comfortable for rally-tour use as
well as an welcomed addition to concours lawns around the
world.
