This 1936 Ford Humpback Roadster is a full custom hand built
creation built by Metal union Speed Shop right here in our Lilburn
Ga shop. The sexy Ford Tub has been featured in Car Kulture Deluxe
Magazine Oct 2016 and HotRod Magazine in Jan 2019. You will never
see another Ford like this sexy beast! Started life as a 36
Humpback Sedan. Metal Union had other ideas for this build. First
they sectioned the body in a 3" to 5" wedge removal and shortened
it. Then built a whole new custom dash board with a custom cowl.
Next they cut the whole top off to make it a roadster and channeled
the svelte body over the custom built frame. The detail that went
into this build included hours upon hours of custom hand built
pieces. Nickle plated cast duvall style windshield frame and rear
bumper, all brass inside and out, custom valve covers and stainless
exhaust. The interior consists of hand built aluminum diamond cut
bomber seats. The cushion inserts are covered in brown diamond
pattern leather. The rear deck is solid walnut wood grain trimmed
in brass, full brass trimmed custom console, ididit steering column
topped with a custom banjo style steering wheel. Full custom
suspension that consists of a drilled I beam axle on a transverse
spring, hair pins and chrome shocks. The rear is a ford 9" on coil
overs with 4 link. Disc brakes in front with drum in rear. The
drive train is a modern GTO LS1 with a 4L60E overdrive
transmission. You would be hard pressed to find another car built
this. The attention to detail is beyond the scope for this build.
The best part is you can get in this car and drive it anywhere.
(just hope it doesn't rain).... Please call for more details.
