Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1960
Corvette Convertible in excellent driver condition with a very rare
automatic transmission. This Corvette looks nice, runs well, and is
a great driver. It is finished in the beautiful color combination
of Honduras Maroon with white coves over a black interior with a
white soft top. Out of the over 10,000 Corvettes made for 1960 only
1,766 came with an automatic transmission.
We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent
opportunity to own a very desirable classic Corvette at an
unbeatable value. This is one of the most affordable 1960 Corvettes
on the market in this condition. One could easily buy this car now
and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as
the market on first generation "solid axle" Corvettes from 1953 to
1962 is absolutely red hot right now and on the rise. Please peruse
all of the photos, video, and other information below to get a true
sense of how nice this Corvette really is.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come
from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give
the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Corvette, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Honduras Maroon exterior is in good driver quality condition.
As one can see in the photos the finish has great gloss, smooth
finish, and nice shine. The wheels and original hubcaps are in
great condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The
Firestone Deluxe Champion wide whitewall bias ply tires have plenty
of tread left and are correctly sized 6.70-15. The soft top is in
excellent condition with holes or frayed edges. The rear window is
not yellowed or foggy. There are no major imperfections that have
been intentionally excluded from the photos. There is some light
checking and small imperfections visible in the photos and some
that were too faint to show up in the photos, but nothing else that
is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. The trunk
lid is a shade dark. The car does not have rust issues and as one
can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is clean
underneath. We have included specific photos of the areas most
prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.
Interior
The Black interior of the Corvette is in nice condition. The gauge
faces are clean and crisp and the lenses are clear. The carpet is
in like-new condition with no holes, rips, or stains. The seats
look just in person as they do in the photos with a couple splits
on the driver's seat. The door panels show some age and the door
pull are solid. The dash has a few cracks, but is not faded or sun
damaged. The truck has a full size matching spare and wide
whitewall tire. This Corvette has never been smoked in; there are
no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.
Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the
nice condition of this interior is a huge testament to the care and
attention this Corvette has received throughout its life.
Mechanical
This Corvette seems to be in fine mechanical condition. The engine
starts up right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The
car drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds.
In the video one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up
to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to
stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there
are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well
overall. The manual brakes are responsive. The transmission shifts
well. This car does have correct and original style bias ply tires,
which is noticeable when driving. Also, the engine compartment is
beautifully clean and detailed as one can see in the photos. The
horn works as do the headlights, tail lights, indicators, interior
light, and radio. The oil pressure and battery gauges seem to work,
but the other gauges do not. The right window needs a hand to help
it get all the way up. There are some other items on the car that
do not work such as the wipers and blower for the heater. As one
can hear in the video, this Corvette sounds awesome with a healthy
exhaust note. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure
it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a
beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1960 Corvette looks great, is in excellent driver
condition, and is a true bargain at our asking price. The automatic
transmission and beautiful color combination make this car
particularly sought-after. The solid axle Corvettes are very
desirable and this is one of the best prices on the market for one
in this condition. The value of these cars has gone up
exponentially in recent years. They are all solid investments for a
collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years
and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal
effort.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call
with any questions.
