Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The Chevrolet Impala has been
produced in many shapes, sizes, and varieties over the course of
seven decades and ten generations. But when Chevrolet introduced
its first SS (Super Sport) package as a midyear option on the 1961
Impala, they probably couldn't have guessed how popular and
influential the moniker would become. From a mere 456 SS's ordered
that year, the option grew across Chevy's product lines until it
became a separate model in the Impala and claimed its iconic status
in American car culture. This cool Honduras Maroon (948) 1962
Impala SS is a fine example of these full-size cruisers. Beneath
the expansive hood is the correct 327 V8 (EC FI003S, BCN 3782870)
that's sporting dual Edelbrock 4bbls on an Edelbrock aluminum
intake manifold, aluminum heads, water pump, and radiator, and HEI.
Additional features include a 4-speed manual transmission, correct
SS trim code (812), Ididit tilt steering column, factory grille
guard, AM/FM/MP3 radio, and classic Cragar SS wheels wearing white
letter radials (F 215/70R14, R 225/70R14). This gem is an absolute
blast to drive with plenty of power and a fantastic exhaust note,
but the best part is rowing the 4-speed in a car this large. No,
they don't make 'em like this anymore. There's also a practical
side to owning this classic. In a pinch, I believe the trunk could
sleep four! One more cool cruiser from the team that can make your
dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service
dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and
financing options.
