Vehicle Description
This custom 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was previously
owned by heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield, who sold
the car in 2012. Now, it has been completely reengineered and
professionally built into a high-end Resto-Mod by Restomodvette.
It's powered by a brand-new GM LS3 crate engine that features
Corvette-style valve covers, headers and a Restomodvette side-draft
stacked injection system with a Holley Terminator engine management
system. The 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission was professionally
built to 4L70E standards. The car sits an Art Morrison chassis that
has both independent front and rear suspension, with a fully
adjustable ride height and RideTech coilovers. Stopping power is
provided by an electric braking system featuring Wilwood brakes
with 6-piston front calipers and 14-inch rotors. It rides on
Forgeline three-piece custom wheels with three-eared spinners,
wrapped in Continental tires for a custom appearance. It also
features power rack & pinion steering, a Tanks Inc. gas tank with a
Walbro fuel pump, Holley Performance wiring harness, a Holley
Terminator computer, electrically activated hidden automatic hood
ram, Dakota Digital RTX gauges and LED lighting. The frame was
Cerakote-finished in a gray contrast color with Silver suspension
components. The body is all-original and was completely stripped
with glass beads before being finished in Candy Red Effect paint,
Billet Silver coves and High Solids clearcoat. The exterior body
was completed with '58-60 Corvette trim. The same attention to
detail was performed on the underside, which has been painted with
Raptor Coat material. The interior, done in a Douglass Interior
Products Phantom leather, features double stitching and concave
custom seats with a Billet Specialties leather-matched steering
wheel. This interior also includes a brand-new custom stereo system
with a large 9-inch screen, backup camera, Bluetooth, amplifier and
performance speakers. It also features a Vintage Air system with
custom air-conditioning vents integrated below the dash. This car
is topped with a new convertible top frame completed in a Stayfast
Charcoal material that is color-matched to the Charcoal German
square-weave carpet inside the car, and the trunk has been finished
to match the interior as well. The Resto-Mod build was just
completed in September 2024 and has been driven only test miles
since. The sale comes with documentation showing Holyfield's
ownership of the vehicle. At the buyer's discretion, this vehicle
has been invited to the November 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas to be
displayed in the Central Hall at the Gandrud Chevrolet Performance
booth. ** PREVIEW
