1971 saw another major restyling change for the Mustang. It was
also to be the last restyling for the first-generation Mustang.
Introduced late in August of 1970, the new Mustang certainly looked
different. While maintaining a basic resemblance to previous
Mustangs, the 1971 Mustangs were a bit longer than previous
models.
This clean 1971 Mustang is finished strikingly in a brilliant
custom blue color accented with a lower racing stripe in white.
Body-colored factory sport mirrors and a set of chrome 15-inch
Magnum 500 style wheels with Mustang logo center caps wrapped with
225/70R15 BF Goodrich white lettered tires add sportiness to the
clean design of this classic Mustang.
HIGHLIGHTS:
• 351 Cleveland V8 engine
• Automatic transmission
• Front power disc brakes
• 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels
• Dual exhaust with Pypes mufflers
• Edelbrock intake manifold
• Holley carburetor
• Aluminum radiator
The black interior features comfortable factory bucket seats with
cloth inserts, an upgraded retro billet steering wheel with Mustang
logo horn button, Mustang logo floor mats, retro Mustang logo AM/FM
radio and a set of cool digital gauges that light up in blue to
monitor oil pressure, water temperature and volts.
Under the hood, the engine bay has been painted blue to match the
car, which showcases a healthy 351 Cleveland V8 paired to an
automatic transmission that sends power back to a 9-inch Ford rear
end. The engine features an Edelbrock intake manifold topped with a
Holley carburetor, an aluminum radiator with electric fans, power
steering, finned aluminum valve covers with matching air cleaner,
power brakes with front discs and long-tube headers that breathe
