Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette 327/375 "Fuelie" convertible is
powered by its original, matching-numbers RPO L84 fuel-injected
327/375hp V8 engine, with Block No. 382870 and Pad No. F0212HN. It
also features a date-code-correct fuel-injection unit that
benefited from recent service. Power is backed by a Muncie 4-speed
manual transmission with a 4.11 rear end, all breathing out of a
side exhaust. The car sits on a reconditioned suspension and
includes a transistorized ignition. This once-factory Rally Red
Corvette was restored to Tuxedo Black in 2020, with knock-off
wheels finishing the exterior. The black vinyl interior features a
telescopic steering column, wood-grain steering wheel and an AM/FM
radio. Built on February 12, 1965, this example was from the first
year for 4-wheel disc brakes and the last for the "Fuelie" engine.
It sold new at William L Morris-Fillmore GM in Fillmore, CA. **
