Vehicle Description
This restored, two-owner custom 1955 Chevrolet 5700 pickup is
powered by a rebuilt 265ci V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual
transmission. This example is finished in Tropical Turquoise and
India Ivory paint, and rides on a set of 16-inch Ultra 8-lug chrome
custom alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country Tires. Along with
new brakes and wiring, it also features a custom-built 88x159-inch
bed with side rails made of exposed beams that have been stained
and finished with Satin Clear. The interior seat was rebuilt and is
now covered with a 1955 Nomad two-tone seat cover. The trim,
headliner and glass were also replaced. This pickup originated in
Colorado and was driven periodically during farming season for
hauling grain. In 1999, it was sold to an Oregon car collector who
spent a great deal of time restoring it, which included lowering
the stock suspension several inches and upgrading the rear end to a
late-1980s dual-wheel differential. The vehicle stayed in Oregon
until the seller acquired it in December 2022, with the restoration
completed in May 2024.
