Vehicle Description
This 1965 Buick Riviera GS underwent a complete frame-off
restoration and is powered by a rebuilt matching-numbers LX-code
425ci Nailhead V8 engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors, mated to
the original BS-code rebuilt 3-speed SP4 automatic transmission
with a limited-slip differential. The restoration included
concealed-stacked clamshell headlights, new paint and new interior
features. The car is also equipped with new ball joints, bushings,
zinc-coated backing plates, new brake springs, shoes, brake
cylinders, brake lines, soft lines and a rebuilt original master
cylinder. The frame was removed from the body, stripped, painted
and fully detailed. The exterior features GS wheels, bumpers,
extensive trim, many pieces of polished stainless steel and over 70
rechromed parts. All the glass and body panels are original to the
car. It has all-new body bushings all around, along with new body,
door, glass and window seals. This Riviera rolls on freshly chromed
Rally wheels wrapped in new 1.3-inch whitewall tires. The new
deluxe interior includes carpet, seat upholstery and foam, front
door panels, rear quarter-panels, weatherstripping or window
"fuzzies," wood-grain kit, headliner, dash pad, kick panels, sail
panels, package tray, sound-deadener, rear-center armrest, purse
clip, deluxe-ribbed rocker trim. It also features bucket seats,
power windows, power brakes, power seat, vacuum trunk release,
cruise control, air conditioning and a Sonomatic AM radio. The
trunk received a complete interior kit for the floor and side
panels and features a spare tire and cover, along with a restored
car jack. This is one of 3,354 examples produced with the Gran
Sport Package for the model year. ** PREVIEW
