857 Boss 429s produced for the model year. It's powered by the
original drivetrain with a factory-original matching-numbers 429ci
V8 engine rated at 375hp that was rebuilt in 2014. Power is backed
by a matching-numbers close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission
connected to the original 3.91 Traction-Lok differential. The
exterior is one of 271 finished in Wimbledon White over a black
bucket seat interior. It includes competition suspension, power
steering, power brakes with front discs, functional front spoiler
and hood scoop, black Clarion-knit vinyl interior, high-back bucket
seats with console, Deluxe Interior Decor Group, Visibility Group,
color-keyed racing mirrors, and 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels wrapped
in Cooper Cobra radial tires. This example was sold new at Bob
Murphy Ford in Morton, IL, wears Kar Kraft No. KK1853 and is one of
1,357 total Boss 429s ever built. To commemorate the 60th
anniversary of the Mustang, this car won the People's Favorite
award at 28th Annual Car Show and Party at the Shelby American
