This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible has undergone a
frame-off restoration and is powered by a completely rebuilt,
period-correct 396ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a Turbo 400
automatic transmission backed by a rebuilt 12-bolt rear end with
3.31 posi-traction. The badging and air cleaner sticker indicate
454ci. It's also equipped with new 2.5-inch exhaust with Flowmaster
mufflers, new front disc brakes, new rear drum brakes, new brake
lines and power booster, new front and rear shocks, new gas tank,
rebuilt air conditioning and rechromed bumpers, and is riding on
new BFGoodrich tires on original SS wheels. It's finished in new
Cranberry Red paint with black stripes and features its original
sheet metal and a cowl-induction hood. The all-new black interior
features an SS dash with correct gauges and a tilt wheel with a
