Vehicle Description
This 1949 Dodge Power Wagon custom pickup is a frame-off
restoration completed in early May 2024. Power comes from a
5.9-liter Cummins 12-valve turbo-diesel engine paired with a
4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that features 2- and
4-wheel drive. The engine is cooled by a custom aluminum radiator.
The brand-new Tisdale Coachworks steel frame features King coilover
struts with 4-link suspension. It was completely restored by
bringing it down to bare metal, sandblasting, prepping the body
with high-build polyester primer and then finishing in Ceramic Grey
basecoat/clearcoat. The fenders and running boards stay true to the
original, are finished in a deep Gloss Black with clearcoat and
have been undercoated for protection. The wood bed was finished in
an Ash Gray stain and sealed, then completed with stainless-steel
strips. It rides on custom Trailready 20-inch beadlock wheels with
Toyo tires. The front is equipped with a 12,000-pound WARN winch.
To complete the nostalgic look, this Power Wagon also features
classic-looking high-output headlights and marker lamps with
Dodge-marked taillights. It is equipped with power steering and
power brakes. The interior features a custom distressed leather
seat with a diamond pattern, carpeted flooring, leather door
panels, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and dash. It also
features a front console, power locks, power windows, keyless
entry, Ididit tilt steering column, Dakota Digital gauges, a
Vintage Air system and a custom audio system with Bluetooth stereo.
This pickup earned the Dodge Truck Pick from LMC Truck at the 2024
Goodguys Nashville Nationals.
