It was the last one sold in Minnesota. This one-owner 1984 Fiat 2000 Spider is almost a barn find. The 124 Spider, designed in 1964 by Tom Tjaarda while working for Sergio Pininfarina's iconic design team in Milan Italy. The design was magic. Everybody wanted one.
In 1983 Pininfarina took the 18-year-old design into their own factory and added "over 100 design and engineering improvements", and renamed it The Azzurra in the USA.
With only 5,600 miles (200 of which were added after the 5-speed conversion), it's essentially a time capsule from the 1980s having spent most of its life in storage and driven exclusively in summer months only.
Manual Conversion and Modern Upgrades
To enhance the driving experience, this Fiat was converted from an automatic to a 5-speed manual transmission. and at that time, the car received upgrades, including a new alternator, daylight running lights, and suspension parts.
A new convertible top was added this year.
