Vehicle Description
They do not come much more original than this! This car is a
beautifully preserved and unmolested 1970 Karmann Ghia. It has been
owned and loved by the same lady for more than 30 years. The body
is excellent and the interior is all original and excellent.
Original engine runs beautifully. It drives great! Transmission
shifts well. Brakes are excellent. The suspension is tight, and the
car handles very well.
The engine starts quickly and runs beautifully. It does not have
any bad habits. The transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. The
brakes work beautifully. The body is exceptionally clean. It has
had one excellent repaint many years ago after someone keyed the
door on the passenger side. The paint is smooth and glossy. There
is a crack in the paint on the front of the passenger door as shown
in the photographs. There are a few door dings on the body, but
overall exceptionally nice.
The interior is all original. The seat upholstery is excellent. The
carpet is excellent original and it has the correct rubber floor
mats. There is no corrosion in the body including the trays under
the rear seat. The dash pad is in excellent condition and the fake
wood instrument panel looks excellent with only a couple of
hairline cracks in the wood finish. The headliner is excellent
original. It's clean with only minor staining behind the quarter
windows. Fit is excellent.
