Simply put this is an awesome old truck. The body is excellent, the
interior is very nice, the paint is nice, the bedwood is excellent
and she runs well. Very original truck with none of the
conveniences and comforts of modern life to spoil the
experience!
Recent service and upgrades include aluminum radiator, rebuilt
carburetor, overhauled braking system including brake master and
wheel cylinders, new stainless steel fuel tank and sending unit,
new door seal kit, new fuel pump and a tune up.
The Flathead V8 is believed to be original to the truck. It runs
well, has good oil pressure and runs cool. The three-speed
transmission shifts well. She is currently equipped with a pair of
glasspack mufflers which need to be replaced, but I will leave that
to the tastes of the new owner.
The body is excellent and appears to be all original other than a
replacement front fender. It was repainted in its original color,
and the paint suits the truck. It is shiny but not too glossy to
ruin the truck's personality. There are several little nicks and
chips but presents very well. The bed would is in excellent
condition and has just been restained and cleared.
She drives very well for a 1952 pickup, but a good set of radial
tires would be a major improvement.
Classic pickup trucks are charming and nostalgic. Every car guy
should own one at least once.
