This 1986 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat is a really clean Bullnose Pickup
that spent its life in California and recently Durango, CO. We sold
this about a year ago and the guy upgraded to a 2001 Duramax that
we were selling. It is rare to find an original Bullnose in this
condition and it has a great color combo too. According to the last
owner this is an original mile truck and based on what we see we
believe that to be true. It was an extra vehicle for the last owner
so it was driven sparingly. We went through the truck to make sure
it was ready to roll and had some repairs done so the new owner
will be able to enjoy. The body on this truck is in excellent
original condition. It is a very clean and very straight original
body. The paint is all original with some nice patina and the
colors are Medium Fire Red and Light Desert Sand. It is a great
looking truck. This truck is an XLT Lariat so it is loaded up and
has the original XLT moldings that are still in great condition
along with the rest of the trim. It has a cool vintage winch bumper
on the front and the underside is really clean. We found no rust
issues with this truck.
The interior is in excellent original condition. The bench seat is
original with no rips or tears and only a little fading. The
carpet, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are all nice. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. The cruise works and the heat, horn,
and windshield wipers work. This is an AC truck and the AC system
is complete but it is not blowing cold. Typically this is a
compressor issue as the older compressor have seals that shrink and
leak from not being used consistently. It is a really nice original
interior. The last owner added an Alpine Stereo and new speakers,
window seals, and new door pins.
Mechanically this truck is excellent. The original 7.5L 460 V8 runs
strong with no issues or red flags and it is totally stock. We just
had a bunch of maintenance performed including valve cover gaskets,
new manifold gaskets, rebuilt carb, new radiator, new heater core,
coolant flush, oil change, and we replaced both fuel tanks and
sending units. It also had a new starter installed, new battery and
cables, and a new power steering pump. The transmission is the C6
Automatic that shifts nice and it is mated to the manual Borg
Warner transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. It has the Ford
10.25 rear axle 4.10 gears and a limited slip. The front axle is a
Dana 44 TTB with 4.10 gears. This is sitting on stock Ford wheels
with 235/75/16 tires. This would make a great everyday truck or a
weekend/occasional rig!!
This would make a great truck to use as an everyday around town
driver or just a cruise around on the weekend truck. We drive what
we sell so that we can give you a first hand and accurate report on
how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures are never touched up
or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate representation of the
vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show you everything so you
can get a true representation of the vehicle.
