Firebird is a 5.7L V8 that has been upgraded with aluminum cylinder
heads, Holley intake and a set of headers to make that big V8
rumble. This V8 engine is paired to a 4L60 4-speed automatic
transmission and comes equipped with the WS6 performance package.
This package included upgraded sway bars, gas filled struts, and a
quick ratio steering box all to enhance the driving experience.
Some changes to the 88' model year is V8 engines received
serpentine belt systems, and the air conditioning compressors were
moved to the passenger's side of the engine, de-cluttering the
engine compartment. In addition to the GTA's gold, The Firebird
also received a new steering wheel with integral radio controls.

windows, air conditioning, Delco AM/FM radio. All the digital
