For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

Whatever your definition of "resto-mod" may be, this pristine example will surely satisfy a major portion of any description. Powered by a GM Performance LS3 crate motor, the 6.2-liter mill generates a rip-roaring 430 HP...much more than Chevrolet intended in 1955.

Restored in Nebraska approx a decade or so ago, the project began with removing the body from the frame and mounting on a rotisserie in order to address any rusted panels. The floors were replaced with new panels, as was the trunk floor, rear tail pan & brace and various other panels that had visible rust. After that, the entire body was stripped to bare metal and chemically treated. All body welds were ground, smoothed, primered and painted. All stainless moldings have been replaced and/or polished and all chrome brightwork was either replaced w/new or replated.

Every component, seal, gasket, nut, bolt & screw has been reconditioned or replaced. The list of mechanical modifications & enhancements is too long & detailed to list here. A full summary can be provided to serious prospects. A three ring binder contains a photo documentation of the restoration and is included.

Suffice it to say, this is as close to a new, 1955 model year car you can get at a fraction of the build cost.
