6,811 actual documented miles. Complete owner history. It was 1
owner from 1982-2004. The 2nd owner won a Top Flight award, the
judge's sheets are included, it earned 99.4/100 points. He sold it
to the 3rd owner in 2018 with 6,247 miles. That is who we acquired
the car from. It comes with a binder of documentation. The
Collector Edition: First Corvette to break the $20,000 mark with a
$22,537 price tag. They came loaded including several features only
available on this model: special wheels, opening hatchback, bronze
glass tops, unique colors and upgraded finishes. This one stickered
out at $24,452 with it's extra options.
The Collector Edition: Not only is it loaded with every option. It
also has several features not available on any other Corvette- the
wheels, opening hatch window, upgraded carpet and much more. It has
a sophisticated color scheme too.
EXTERIOR: Very handsome car, I've always loved the lines on the 80-
82. Unique colors and fade away stripes were only available on the
Collector Edition. The body is mint, the original paint still looks
practically new. It also has unique bronze tinted glass tops.
Unique wheels made similar to the 1967 wheel. The original tires
look like new. The glass, weatherstrips, bumpers, wheels all look
practically new. The power antenna works.
INTERIOR: All original and practically like new. The same color
scheme continues inside, multi color seats and door panels. All
leather seats, not just the centers like other Vettes. It also has
a leather wheel and unique leather horn button. The thicker premium
carpet continues on the lower door panels and center console. The
console trim is a smokey bronze to match. It's loaded with every
option, and they all appear to be functional. It also has a factory
CB radio! The cigarette lighter and ashtray were not used. It is
practically like new inside.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The first fuel injected Vette since 1965 and
the first ever electronic fuel injection. The 350 motor is #
matching, every component is original. It has been very well cared
for because it looks new and it's 41 years old!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The glass window pops open from inside; this is
a first for a Corvette. It has wall to wall thick carpet and has a
retractable sunshade inside.
UNDERSIDE: It's an extremely well-preserved survivor undercarriage.
Actually, it's one of the cleaner ones I've seen. They did a little
bit of maintenance as needed. It still has it's original exhaust
with catalytic converter and GM date coded mufflers. Independent
suspension front and back, it still has assembly line markings and
tags in places. There are disc brakes at all four wheels. The
fiberglass floors are excellent, the spare tire carrier is
complete. The bottom of the motor looks clean. It was the first
year for the 700R4 overdrive automatic trans.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and charged the a/c, lubed the locks
and latches.
This is one of the best preserved survivor cars I've seen. It
wasn't just forgotten about; it was intentionally preserved. This
is a high class Corvette!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
