Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass
Supreme Brougham to you. This 3rd generation top of the line
Cutlass comes to us dressed in a triple-green color scheme that's
simply stunning. We believe the dark green metallic paint is
original and it is in very good driver condition with minimal
imperfections. A light green padded vinyl landau top, white factory
pin-striping, and lots of gleaming chrome trim highlight the dark
green paint. The hood has a chrome spine that runs down the center
and leads the eye to a vertical Oldsmobile ornament that stands
between two chrome waterfall grilles. The grilles are flanked by
dual rectangular headlights with rectangular turn signals beneath.
The chrome front bumper is in good condition and features a black
rubber edge guard. Bright trim is plentiful on the sides of this
Cutlass with wheel lip molding, body side molding, window trim,
drip rail molding, door edge guards, and rocker molding. The doors
both feature color-keyed sport side mirrors and color-keyed door
handle insets. Fender badging looks like new, with a gleaming
Cutlass Supreme script on each side with a "Brougham" rectangle
underneath. Vertical rectangular opera windows showcase the landau
top and give the car a very sophisticated look. Completing the
attractive side-view of the car are body-color factory rally wheels
with beauty rings and center caps wrapped in Goodyear Regatta thin
white wall tires. Around the back, you'll find vertical rectangular
taillights with chrome frames, another nice chrome bumper, dual
chrome exhaust tips, and a hidden gas fill behind the license
plate.
Under the hood is what we believe to be the original 350ci V-8 in a
tidy and stock engine bay. The V-8 is topped with blue valve
covers, a 4-barrel carburetor, and a black air cleaner with an
"Oldsmobile 350" decal. You'll find that this Cutlass is equipped
with power steering, power brakes (disc/drum), and A/C (R12). The
engine sends power to the rear through a 3-speed automatic
transmission that shifts smoothly. Stock suspension provides
excellent ride quality with a luxury car feel.
Open the long driver's door and courtesy lights come on to
illuminate an original green interior in excellent condition. The
Brougham trim package included some nice upgrades like the
pillow-top crushed velour 55/45 front bench seat with fold-down
armrest and seating for 3. Both the front and rear seats are
unbelievably comfortable and in fabulous condition with no
noticeable signs of wear. The factory door panels are in the same
great shape and feature a blend of vinyl, cloth, carpet, and
woodgrain trim with a pull handle, armrest, rear ashtray, and
interior driver's side mirror control. The driver is treated to a
2-spoke steering wheel with a woodgrain trim ring on a tilt column.
The crack-free green dash features more sections of woodgrain trim
that add an elegant touch to the interior. The steering wheel
frames 2 circular, chrome-ringed, recessed gauges - the speedometer
to the left and a combo gauge to the right with a fuel gauge and
warning lights for Brake, Gen, Hot, and Oil. The odometer reads
only 54,819 miles. To the right of the gauges, framed by a
woodgrain bezel, are the climate controls and stereo. The controls
crank out cold A/C and hot heat with a strong fan, but they only
blow down to the floor and not through the vents (likely a stuck
diverter door). The stereo is a factory Delco AM/FM push-button
unit that sounds great through the factory speakers. To the left of
the center gauges you'll find controls for the 2-speed wipers and
cruise control. On the passenger side of the dash is a horizontal
woodgrain trim piece that highlights air vents and an analog clock
with a glovebox beneath. Underfoot is a stain-free green factory
carpet and overhead is a tight green vinyl headliner. Back in the
trunk is a full spare tire on a matching factory rally wheel as
well as a factory jack.
It is impossible to deny the timeless appeal of these 3rd
generation Cutlass Supremes - they look just as great today as they
did 45 years ago! This particular example offers you the "time
capsule" experience of driving one that is just like new and loaded
with options plus the Brougham trim package! You'll certainly have
to search long and far to find another Cutlass as well-preserved as
