Galaxie! This head-turning classic comes in a brilliant Sandshell
Beige paint job complemented by a clean matching interior. Powering
the Galaxie is a 292 cubic inch V8 motor mated to an automatic
transmission. Standard features of the vehicle include power
steering, functional heat, and more. The vehicle was updated in
2011 with a factory color repaint, a new headliner, front lowering
springs, new wheels, and tires and the vehicle still shows well
today. Some of the more recent maintenance includes rear air
shocks, a new gas tank, a new master cylinder, and a fresh oil
change. So, if you're in the market for a cool classic sure to put
a smile on your face, this Galaxie is for you.
For 1962, the Galaxie name was applied to all of Ford's full-size
models, as the Fairlane name was moved to a new intermediate model
and Custom was temporarily retired. Base Galaxie models were
available in two- and four-door sedans as well as the plain Ranch
Wagon. In an effort to stimulate midseason sales, Ford introduced a
group of sporty cars along with a "Lively Ones" marketing campaign.
These models featured the bucket seats and console that were
popularized by the Chevrolet Corvair Monza and included a Fairlane
500 Sports Coupe, and a Falcon Futura.
