Vehicle Description

Intro

This is a 1989 BMW E30 M3 in Zinnoberrot over black Bison Leather interior and showing just 110k miles. It is powered by a 2.3-liter S14 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Modifications consist of H&R springs, Bilstein shocks, Ireland Engineering anti-roll bars, a strut-tower brace, a Turner Motorsport ECU chip, a Borla muffler, and a Sony Stereo and Sparco steering wheel. This E30 was previously sold on BaT in May 2022 and listed on BaT again in August 2024 with reserve not met. Registration history is Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. It has a clear title and is in New York.

Exterior

The exterior is Zinnoberrot with electric sunroof, a rear spoiler, fog lights, painted mirror caps, twin exhaust outlets, and wider fenders compared to the standard E30. The 15″ basketweave wheels are wrapped in Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires. The suspension has been modified with anti-roll bars, Bilstein shocks and struts, and H&R springs. Removed suspension components are included in the sale. Chips and curb marks are present on the front spoiler, and the rear spoiler shows spidering paint. The seller notes evidence of paintwork on the right-rear fender and front hood. The Carfax report lists a damage disclosure in January 1996 with a salvage title subsequently issued in Maryland (see Imperfections).

Interior

The interior is upholstered in black Bison Leather with manually adjustable front sport seats. It has a Sparco steering wheel (original included in sale) onboard computer, an aftermarket Sony CD stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, door locks, mirrors, and all-weather driver’s side floor mat.

Mechanicals

This E30 M3 is powered by a 2.3-liter S14 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four has been modified with a Turner Motorsport ECU chip and oil pan baffle. A strut tower brace has been fitted in the engine bay.

Imperfections

According to vehicle history this car was believed to be stolen. It was later recovered after the insurance company paid the claim. According to MDOT records, Travelers Insurance Co. owned the vehicle. According to our research, in the state of Maryland if a car is stolen and insurance pays out on that vehicle it receives a salvage title. Summary

This is an extremely well maintained E30 M3 that comes with owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a tool kit. According to the seller it has all original body panels and glass.
