Unfortunately, Classiccars.com does not have this tractor brand as one of their listed names, so I chose Porsche as another tractor manufacturer by which to list it.
A truly unique collectible... a tractor. Many of us own wonderful classic cars that are essentially hands off… look but don’t touch. Tractors are tough, designed to play in the dirt. Every little kid soon after they are born learn to say Mama, Dada, and Tractor in about that order. Want to become the favorite Grandpa or Grandma? Take a look at this beauty… Porshe, Lamborghini both made tractors as well as automobiles, and to buy one of their classic old tractors costs nearly as much as purchasing one of their cars. But here we have a special tractor, a Cockshutt. That’s right, a Cockshutt. Built by a company that was located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. The Cockshutt name is Welsh, the surname of the company founder, James G. Cockshutt. He started the company as the Brantford Plow Works in 1877, the name was changed to the Cockshutt Plow Company in 1882. During WWII the factory operated as Cockshutt Aircraft Division and made plywood fuselages and wings for the de Haviland Mosquito. During those same war years, the company began building their own tractors.
This example was built in 1952 and is amongst the smaller tractors built by the company. The tractor proves to be the perfect size to fit in a decent sized garage as seen in the photos including the folding trailer. This tractor has been fully restored… everything is either new or completely rebuilt. It comes with a complete owner’s manual (which looks like a shop manual) a 1,980 pound capacity folding trailer, working 3-point hitch, full lighting, a 3-person capacity set of tractor seats that mounts on the 3-point, gnarly exhaust note, tank mounted fuel gauge, cast bronze Kingfisher hood ornament, and much more.
This tractor spent 70 years working fields in Idaho, now fully restored it loves to carry kids, adults, and anybody who enjoys a great parade ride from the past.
Everything you see attached to the tractor or trailer, including the free-standing sign is included.
