This 1972 El Camino was the last year of the classic 1968-1972 body
style that is so popular and collected today. Finished in a classic
early 1970's color scheme of deep Midnight Bronze with a Cream
vinyl top, this El Camino represents this great era of GM cars
perfectly. All the factory bright side trim moldings, tailgate trim
and wheel opening moldings that are often times missing on these
classic El Caminos are still with the car and in great condition,
accenting the dark paint color beautifully. Additionally, a pair of
period-correct aftermarket bed rails are on the car, adding to the
nostalgic look. A set of 15-inch polished American Racing Torq
Thrust wheels wrapped with P235/60R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white
lettered tires look just right on this El Camino.
HIGHLIGHTS:
350 V8 engine
TH350 automatic transmission
12-bolt posi rear end
Power front disc brakes
Edelbrock intake manifold
Edelbrock carburetor and air cleaner
Headers
Flowmaster mufflers
Factory air conditioning
The interior is in excellent condition and features a custom
trimmed two tone dark brown and cream pattern, both on the
comfortable bench seat and the door panels, as well as the spare
tire cover located just behind the seat. This El Camino is also
equipped with factory air conditioning. A vintage AM/FM/cassette
player provides music for cruising and an under-dash set of gauges
monitor the engine's water temperature, oil pressure and volts.
Under the hood is a healthy 350 cubic inch engine paired with a
TH350 automatic transmission that sends power back to a 12-bolt
2.73 posi-traction rear end. The engine features chrome valve
covers, power steering and an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold
topped with an Edelbrock carburetor and open-element air cleaner.
Headers breathe back through a dual exhaust system that rumbles
through Flowmaster mufflers. This El Camino handles great thanks to
an upgraded front sway bar, rear air shocks and factory front power
disc brakes.
