A Dart GT convertible is a rare sight, and a 1968 Dodge Dart GTS
convertible is even rarer. This rare Mopar convertible was born as
a V-8 powered Dart GT convertible and upgraded to GTS
specifications when it was restored. Looking sharp with bright
red-orange paint, hood vents, GTS emblems and black factory style
stripe, this cool drop top draws attention wherever it goes. The
contrasting convertible top is in excellent condition and is
equipped with a glass rear window and a black vinyl boot cover to
use when the top is lowered. A set of chrome 15-inch Mopar Rally
wheels wrapped with 225/60R15 Uniroyal tires add to the muscle car
vibe.
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Rare V8 Dart convertible
• 340 V8
• Tremec 5-speed manual transmission
• Upgraded to GTS specification
• Holley Sniper EFI
• 15-inch chrome rally wheels
• Magnaflow exhaust
• Vintage Air A/C (needs servicing)
• Power Steering
• Power Front disc brakes
The black interior features bucket seats, a Vintage Air A/C system
(although it will need servicing to blow cold again), Restrosound
stereo with Bluetooth, column mounted SunPro tachometer and
under-dash Equus volt meter, oil pressure and water temperature
gauges, as well as a Holley EFI controller.
Power and performance are provided by a 340 cubic inch V-8 engine
mated to a Tremec TKX 5-speed transmission that was recently
rebuilt with receipts to document the work. Under the hood of this
Dodge looks mostly stock in appearance, with factory style air
cleaner, valve covers, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds,
however this car has been upgraded with an aluminum radiator and a
Holley Sniper fuel injection system. Other features include power
steering, power brakes with front discs and a dual exhaust system
with Magnaflow mufflers and balancing pipe.
Powerful and rare, this 1968 Dodge Dart GTS Tribute convertible is
ready for some top-down cruising with classic Mopar muscle car
style. Call today!
