1974 Beetle "Love Bug" was a USA exclusive edition promoted by advertising posters and magazine advertisements contemporaneously with the release of Walt Disneys motion picture "Herbie Rides Again". The edition was a sales campaign model and part of Volkswagen of Americas efforts to promote sales. Advertised as finished in "Luscious Lime Green" or "Red Hot Red" 10 examples of this edition were supplied to each dealership in 1974!
