Take a look at this rare ’60 Studebaker Champ in a sea of Chevy and Ford trucks. Even more rare is the fact that it’s a single family-owned classic purchased new on March 26th, 1960. The original purchase receipt is included in addition to every receipt and investment made over the entire course of the last 64 years. This is an extremely well cared for baby that has zero rust and no signs of damage to the body or frame as you can see by the videos. It’s a beautiful blue with Firestone white walls (’11) and a factory ordered deluxe interior along with a 3spd manual transmission with the overdrive option. The original 170 flat six was replaced in September of 1969 at 77,554 miles. The original owner went through a complete restoration process in September of 2011 with all steps meticulously documented.
The interior has new black carpet over the original carpet and all the interior was redone in the tasteful black and ivory colors. He even had a sign shop do the lettering on the tailgate so attention to detail was certainly applied here. The entire frame and underside were painted black, the bed was lined, engine components, brakes, suspension, clutch, etc. replaced and she fires right up, runs and drives down the highway at 60 very smoothly. The wheels and front/rear bumpers were also powder coated in ivory.
Let me know if you have any questions or would like more specifics or images as you walk through all the details on this one.
