Vehicle Description

ORIGINAL STYLE FARM TRUCK, SHORTBED STEPSIDE, 292 Y BLOCK V8, FIRES RIGHT UP! This is an awesome find for someone who wants a solid daily driver to use around the farm or run into town. She rides smooth and quiet but don’t let that fool you, she’s got plenty of get up and go as well. Minimal rust and lots of potential! Cosmetic

  • Paint/Body: While we call her a good ol' farm truck, she is solid through and through. The bodylines are very straight. The doors open and close easily and very solid. The paint is older, faded and cracking consistently around the body. No major rust, only a few pops and bubbles. There are a few small dents on the driver side towards the front as well.
  • Interior: Older interior is still in good condition. The bench seat has upholstery job done a while back that has only one rip in the driver side but still looks awesome. There are seatbelts for two people. The rubber floor mat is also older but still holding up well. The door panels where just redone by the previous owner in tweed, they look tastefully covered! Dash is in great shape as well.
  • Glass/Windows: All the glass is in good shape. No cracks or shadowing. The windows roll up and down with ease.
  • Trunk/Bed: The original bed was removed during the recent "restoration" when the previous owners where getting her back on the road. A piece of cabinet grade plywood was placed over the bed frame. Looks nice but can be easily put back to original with a truck bed kit. The bed itself is in great shape. No significant dents or scratches, probably used around the farm but not used for heavy duty work loads.
  • Undercarriage: The underneath of this girl is lovely. She has minimal rust for being a farm truck. There are a couple of small spots in the front as well as a patch in the floor pan. Towards the bed of the truck there are a few small patches and spots of rust but nothing significant. No rust on the frame. The rockers, cab corners and fender wells are all in great shape.
  • Wheels/Tires: Older bronco wheels are in good shape. New Patagonia matching tires!

Mechanical

  • Drivetrain: This girl has what we believe to be the original 292 Y block V8 engine. She fires right up with a touch of the key and purrs like a kitten. 3 speed on the column manual transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. She has plenty of torque and rides nicely down the road. Even though she is still on the manual brakes and steering, she is easy to drive and maneuver if you keep her rolling. Surprisingly quite as well in the cab as you ride along! New fuel pump, new alternator and new hoses all added during her recent tune up by the previous owners.
  • Lights/Electrical: All the headlights, taillights, brake lights, running lights, turn signals and wipers are functional. All the gauges are hooked up and working as well. Heater is functional as well with a new switch bypassing the original. The dome light in the cab needs to be replaced and wired up.
  • Brakes: Manual brakes stop straight and string. New dual master cylinder with valve adjustment.
