This Autobianchi Bianchina was imported from Florence, Italy in 2016 after a thorough restoration/transformation.
All paperwork is in order with a clear California title and up to date registration, in the seller's name.
This vehicle originally started life as a 2 door, 4 seater, "roll back" roof cabriolet-"Transformabile". There is an original back seat but it is very small. During restoration, this Transformabile was converted into the "roadster" you see here. All work was done by a custom coach builder in Florence, Italy prior to being imported to America.
It still retains its all-original running gear, including the 499 cc (500) engine/transmission, in top running and reliable starting condition, thanks to a (5 year old) rebuilt engine and new ignition system. Top speed is about 55 mph. Brakes were gone through as well, so this sporty little car stops on a dime as well. All electrical, including a new 12V battery is in working order. Original wheels have been restored and sport new whitewall tires.
Paint and bodywork were done to a high standard, though there are some imperfections in the paint, as is to be expected of a 5+ year old restoration.
This car is FUN to drive, gets looks everywhere it goes. But it is SMALL! Smaller than a VW beetle even. Though you legally could, you wouldn't want to drive this on the freeway.
It is the perfect "beach" car and is built to resemble the original (and highly collectible) Fiat "Jolly" micro cars of the era. You’ll look great cruising around Mission Bay, La Jolla, Laguna, Newport, Belmont Shores, Venice, Ventura or Santa Barbara! Also perfect for the "Palm Springs Country Club" set or the passionate Microcar collector.
