The classic box-on-wheels look of this Chevy V8-powered 1974 Toyota
FJ40 Land Cruiser is a big part of its appeal. These trucks are
legendary in off-roading circles for being reliable and as agile as
a mountain goat, and given their track record in some pretty
inhospitable places, it is easy to see why they are red-hot with
collectors.
This handsome classic is finished in red, with a white painted roof
that matches the grill surround. The recently added 15-inch white
spoke steel wheels wrapped with 31x10.50R15LT BF Goodrich
All-Terrain tires (including the exterior rear-mounted spare) give
it a rugged but cool retro look. The hardtop and doors are
removable for open-air motoring, but many like the industrial look
of the hardtop. Either way, you will find it is all but impossible
not to have fun driving this classic 4x4.
Inside are upgraded and comfortable black bucket seats, a rear
bench seat with headrests, a diamond-plated floor, a Jensen stereo
with Bluetooth, and an upgraded retro-style digital gauge cluster
that looks great. Additionally, there is a 3-speed shifter for the
transmission and a second lever for the 2-speed transfer case.
Power and performance have been greatly enhanced with a 350 cubic
inch Chevrolet V8 engine with a Holley intake manifold topped with
a Holley carburetor, power brakes, and dual exhaust. Power is
transferred to a four-wheel by a 3-speed manual transmission.

3-speed manual transmission
