This car was purchased in 1983 from a local Billings, Montana
collector who had a propensity for finding low mileage original
vintage vehicles to add to his collection. To the best of our
knowledge the current owner is only the third person to possess
this car during it's nearly three-quarters of a century
existence.
It has been very carefully driven and maintained for only 43,400
miles, which we believe to be the actual mileage. Less than 1,000
miles have been added over the past 41 years. The drive train
includes the factory installed 331 cubic inch OHV V8 engine and 4
speed Hydramatic transmission. The car features power windows,
power seat, radio, heater, wide whitewall tires, sun visor, with
dealer installed seat covers when the car was new. Recent
maintenance service includes the brake wheel cylinders and the
power window system
Paint, chrome trim, interior, door panels, carpet and trunk liner
are all original. Here is an opportunity to purchase a turnkey
factory original unrestored early 1950's Cadillac for a fraction of
what it would cost to restore. As the old saying goes, they are
only original once, and this 1951 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is an
extremely fine example.
