For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This Chevelle is awesome! It has off the charts looks, performance and quality. Only 1,455 miles since a detailed body off frame restoration.

EXTERIOR: They say black hides nothing, well this body has nothing to hide! It is straight, smooth, and shiny from the rockers to the roof. All the panels fit real nicely, the hood, doors and trunk close like new. The door latch kits were replaced. It also has a cowl induction hood with the working flapper door. The stripes are pearl white buried under the clear, smooth to the touch. Every piece of exterior chrome, emblems and moldings have been replaced. It has all new smoked glass. All the weatherstrips and seals are new. It is sitting on a modern version of the SS wheels. They are American Racing 17 inch billet with performance Nitto tires.

INTERIOR: It's brand new from carpet to headliner. The seats have been recushioned, reupholstered and have all new trim and headrests. Door panels, armrests, window cranks are new. In front of me is a pristine dash. It's all new including the SS gauges, vents, knobs etc. Upgraded with electric slide climate control and a retro stereo. There are molded in kick panel speakers and 6x9s in back. There's an Auto Gauge cluster down below for the most accurate readings. A beautiful rosewood wheel is on a tilt column. The console is all new with a Hurst 4-speed shifter. It has a complete set of reproduction seat belts. Embroidered SS floor mats on the floor and overhead is a new headliner that fits tight as a drum. It also has new visors, mirror and working dome light.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Here is a 454 making 600 hp! The block was blasted, baked, pressure tested, decked, bored, and honed with a torque plate. It has a roller timing set, roller cam and roller rocker arms. On top is a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake, a Holley dual feed carb and a tall set of chromed valve covers. The headers are coated. All new components: radiator, alternator, power steering, power brakes, wiper motor and air conditioning system. It has a Delco battery topper with a disconnect, squirters are hooked up, plug wires are in a loom, etc.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are gloss black, it has reproduction stickers and weatherstrip. Inside is clean metal that was sprayed in spatter finish from a gun not a spray can.

UNDERSIDE: It had the body off the frame for restoration. The F-41 suspension includes boxed rear control arms, front and rear swaybars. The suspension and steering were completely rebuilt. The brake system was completely redone: lines, hoses, calipers, e-brake brake cables etc. it has disc in front and drum in back. It has a great sounding exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and SS tips. The fuel system was completely replaced including the tank. The floors are pristine, smooth metal neatly painted satin black. The chassis components were also prepped and neatly painted. Looking up at the motor it is spotless Chevy Orange and upgraded with a high torque starter. The Muncie M-21 4-speed looks brand new. The clutch and shift linkage were replaced. A new driveshaft was built and leads back to the 12 bolt 3.55 posi. It was rebuilt and has a GM ring & pinion. It is very detailed and fresh under this one!

SERVICE: We inspected this car and it passed with flying colors! We just had our upholstery guy take wrinkles out of the interior sail panels.

Obviously I see a lot of cars; I'm telling you this one's a keeper! This car will bring you excitement: the compliments, the sound and the raw power will have you pumped!
