This 1937 Chevrolet Suburban is a first generation Suburban which
was the early evolution of the SUV! This example has had a frame
off restoration and is finished in black and champagne metallic
with 'Plum Crazy' colored body line and painted wheels. This rare
Suburban has a great history traced back to Bethesda-Sanatorium in
Colorado - see the attached documents with early photos and more
information. The current owners bought it from their uncle in 1984,
and began the refurbishment in 2008. Undergoing a complete frame
off restoration, this Suburban retains all the original body
panels, doors, running boards and fenders. The hood was
reconfigured to open from the front, custom bumpers fabricated, and
all chrome replated. It is powered by a crate 350 cubic inch
'RAMJET' V8. Fuel injected with polished aluminum intake plenum,
chrome valve covers and headers with dual exhaust. Walker radiator
with electric fan, power steering and power brakes. The engine is
paired with a 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission and Nova rear
end with 3.36 gears. The frame was boxed in front and rear with
Heidts independent front suspension installed. It rolls on Stockton
Custom wheels with chrome hubcaps, trim rings and BFGoodrich Radial
T/A tires. The interior features custom beige marine grade vinyl
with suede inserts on the front bucket seats and rear bench, door
panels and headliner and black carpet. Custom built center console
with power window switches and stereo controls. Ididit tilt
steering column, custom steering wheel, custom gauges and pedals.
The dash has been reconfigured for the vintage air conditioning.
Front windshield is sealed, tinted windows, and rear camera with
LCD video display rear view mirror. Kenwood stereo receiver with
1600 watt Mono Digital amplifier, Lightning 800 watt 4 channel
amplifier, Memphis speakers and 12" sub mounted under the rear
seat, and 4x6 coaxial speakers mounted in the kick panels. A rare
classic suburban with a great history built and updated tastefully
