1966 Ford Fairlane 500 Sedan

You are viewing a new and fresh very hi quality build focusing on performance, but build to drive on the street.  Truly a street/strip hi performance Ford in a classic Ford body.  The car has been shown and trailered only twice.  More hours than miles regarding engine run time.  Dynoed, tuned and ready to be enjoyed by a new owner. 75K into the build.

Body/Paint: 
The body is all original steel except for the fiberglass Boss 429 hood scoop on steel hood.  Originally a 289 A automatic sedan. The body was acid dipped and repaired where needed.  Front floor pans replaced along with a patch in the trunk.  Painted base/clear Wimbledon white.  Rear was mini tubbed 2 inches and professionally done.  Complete new wiring system by American Auto wire.

Interior:  The interior is excellent restored with original door panels.  Custom dash insert handmade and very functional and professional.  AutoMeter gauges including transmission temp.  Other than that bare bones and very presentable.  Non power brakes and non power steering.  On board Halon fire extinguisher.

Running Gear:   This is the heart of the car with focus on only hi quality racing parts used.  Engine began as a new Ford 460 SVO crate with multiple improvements/upgrades made making the engine what it is.  600 plus horse power.  Westberg custom racing engines built the engine with professional care as he is known for.  Heads were replaced with aluminum Super Cobra Jet.  Manley rods, recut valve pockets in pistons, cam is a Ford SVO A443, Ford airgap aluminum intake, MSD ignition, Canton oil system/Accusump, Crites headers, 850 cfm Demon carb.  Transmission is a built C6 reverse pattern shift, 3500 Dynamic stall converter, Hurst shifter and line lock, Deral oil cooler, Performance Quotent flywheel SFI, driveline loop.  Ford 9 inch with 411s, Detroit locker, 31 spline high N Dutchman axles.  Fuel cell with Holley pump FST fuel filter system.  Howe aluminum radiator.       

Suspension:  The frame is tied from front to back welded in.  All Calvert suspension, 9/10 and 50/50 shocks, front suspension is stock rebuilt.  All professionally done and ready to race if desired.  Clean install and nice.    

Brakes:  Wilwood front disc brakes with adjustable front and rear/drums with stock master cylinder due to value cover clearance.   

Exhaust:  The exhaust is top shelf/first class.  Professionally hand made.

Bright work:  All very presentable. 

Glass:  Replacement windshield all the rest is original to the car is great condition.

Wheels/Tires:  Weld front runners with Goodyear radials 205/70-15, rear steel wheel with Hoosier 28X14.5 street radial quick time pro series. 

Summary:   This is the right car for a serious Ford drag racing fan.  Built to drive on the street with the running gear to go drag racing on the weekends if desired.  Don’t miss out on this spectacular build.  At this price it represents a great value for the money.
