the 585-cu.in. OHV V8 is rated at 850 horsepower. The nitrous
system adds another 700 horses. Engine details include a MegaBlock
aluminum block and Indy heads, along with a Holley EFI system.
There are long-tube headers, an MSD ignition controller, and
aluminum radiator with electric fans. The exhaust features
custom-made 4-inch pipe for maximum flow. Backing the engine is
race-prepped three-speed automatic transmission with a reverse
valve body. A line lock and trans brake were also installed. The
transmission sends torque to a 4.10-geared Ultimate Dana 60 rear
axle. The exterior was painted red in 2020 and the finish is said
to be in excellent condition. Body mods include a custom-hinged
fiberglass hood, fiberglass bumpers, and mini-tubbed trunk. The
interior is largely intact, with a 10-point cage, gauges, Hurst
shifter and other racing features. The roll cage has swing-out side
bars and there's a switch/control panel mounted on the ceiling.
There is no speedometer in the custom gauge cluster. The car's true
mileage is unknown. The interior retains vinyl-trimmed front and
rear seats, carpet, and upholstered door panels. The chassis and
suspension have also been modified for racing. There's a tubbed
rear end and Wilwood disc brakes. Reportedly new American Racing
wheels and street tires are on the car. Built for the drag strip,
this 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II Hardtop is a recent build that is
said to be ready for the track but has not yet faced the Christmas
tree. The highlights include an all-aluminum 585-cubic-inch
big-block engine with EFl and nitrous, MSD Pro Grid computerized
ignition (laptop included), a racing-prepped Turbo Hvdra-Matic 400
three-speed automatic transmission, an Ultimate Dana 60 rear axle,
a 10-point cage, parachute system, and more. Lots more.
