Lovely garage kept 1966 Oldsmobile 442 2-door Convertible with 400 V8 4-barrel carburetor. The exterior is black with a red pin stripe and it is a real head turner every time we take it out. The car has been in the family for over 30 years and is in good driving condition. Have replaced the convertible top, cables, pads, top seal, and lift cylinders, headlamp bezels, driver and passenger view mirrors, sun visors, floor sill plates and 4-4-2 emblems. In 1966, Oldsmobile produced only 2,853 442 convertibles on the Cutlass convertible body style. This was part of a total of 25,003 442s sold that year, with convertibles making up 13.4% of the total.
Features include:
The interior has been largely restored with the exception of minor wear on the driver’s seat and driver’s door panel. The Holley carburetor was rebuilt in 2015. Have the original owner operating manual, owner protection plan, vehicle key tag, and manual for the convertible top. Transmission was updated to a THM 400 turbo with a torque converter GM 5 (D). Replaced the front drum brakes and single master cylinder with a front disc brake conversion kit and dual master cylinder from Summit racing.
