FOR SALE: 1936 CHEVROLET PICKUP
All original truck - NOT RESTORED- with 26,150 miles. It was owned by the same family for OVER 84 YEARS! The family owned a hotel business that also contained a restaurant. They used this truck to haul the groceries from the local market to the Hotel’s kitchen for many years.
The truck is 88 years old and is in REALLY good condition. The bed still has the original wood in it and the interior floor boards are in really good shape. The frame is very solid with no rust. The electric is still 6-volt.
It’s a pleasure to drive the Stovebolt 6 which has a respectable 72 HP and a synchronized 3 speed manual transmission. The simple rigid axles and leaf springs provide the “ride bounce” reminiscent of many years ago.
The only changes are:
1) Recent paint job (the only one)
2) New exhaust
3) An electric fuel pump
4) Car seats were re-covered years ago but the seat frames are original and are in great shape.
It is missing the windshield wiper motor.
* I have the following ORIGINAL paperwork:
1) Special Production Order Form
2) Dealer’s New Car Delivery Report
3) The Manufacturer’s Original Tire Warranty
4) The New Car Conditioning Report
5) Instruction for Care Booklet
6) A copy of the 1936 Shop Manual which has all pertinent mechanical data for the truck
This is a great truck and in remarkable condition especially for a vehicle that is 88 years old.
Please, serious buyer's only. I’ll start it, and you can hear it run, but in order to protect the value of the truck.. ABSOLUTELY NO TEST DRIVES.
I do have videos of me driving I can send if requested.
