1960 was the first year for the second generation of the AMC
Rambler American and carried through production until 1963. The
body-style had changed drastically from the previous generation and
despite being shorter and narrower than the previous generation
Rambler, the 1960 Rambler boasted more interior cargo space. This
1963 AMC Rambler American 440 is an excellent example of these
seldom seen classics. The exterior of this Rambler American
benefits from a repaint in its current White metallic over Gloss
Black paint and is in very good condition throughout. Complimenting
the beautiful exterior is the Rambler's factory chrome and
stainless trim and a set of American Racing 5-spoke wheels wrapped
in Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. The Ramber 440's restored White and
Gold vinyl interior is in excellent condition throughout and
features a dash-mounted digital GPS speedometer, factory heater and
added Equus auxiliary gauges. Powering this great AMC Rambler is
its 125HP 195.6 cubic inch L-head inline-6 cylinder engine backed
by a column shifted 3-speed manual transmission. Both the engine
and transmission perform just as they should and have no problem
pulling this Rambler down the road. If you are in the market for a
very nice 2nd generation AMC Rambler American or just a seldom seen
classic with great curb appeal that is turn-key ready to enjoy and
would get plenty of attention at your local cruise-in or car show,
then you will want to take a very close look at this awesome 1963
AMC Rambler American 440.
