This fully restored mint condition, numbers matching 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible finished in forest green was originally sold in 1968 by Tom Sweet of Cliff Mills Motor Limited in Oshawa Ontario. This exceptional and rare Firebird 400 has undergone an extensive restoration that includes a pertronix ignition, a timing chain upgrade to the numbers matching 400ci V8, overhauling the three-speed turbo 400 automatic transmission, new carpeting and interior front seats. All new upgrades includes a new powder coated subframe, inner fenders, rad supports, and other engine compartment trim pieces. All fuel, brake, gas and transmission lines have been replaced as well as new factory 4 caliper front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, shocks, power steering and a power brake booster as well as a new tilt steering column. Suspension upgrades include new front springs lowered 1.5 inches, new rear multi-leaf springs lowered 1.5", global west frame connectors and Rally II-style 15″ wheels. A Pypes 2.5 inch stainless steel custom exhaust with chrome tips are connected to magnaflow mufflers, providing the sound of pure driving pleasure. Audio is offered with a push-button AM/FM custom autosound radio with blue-tooth, and a center console. The original factory installed 8-track player remains installed on the console. This Firebird is now offered with Pontiac Historic Services documentation, refurbishment records and photos, and a clean Canadian title in the seller’s name.
