VII was introduced in 2003 as the first all new model produced by
Rolls-Royce after BMW bought the company. It was intentionally
designed to settle the question whether Rolls-Royce still owned the
luxury market and is an ultra-luxury exotic large sedan built in
England. It transports up to 5 passengers in the lap of luxury. It
featured a handcrafted interior, suicide-style rear doors, and an
aluminum spaceframe chassis. It is powered by a 453 hp 6.75-litre
V12 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and is
rear-wheel drive. Safety features include front and side airbags,
traction control, and stability control. Drawing inspiration from
the companys heritage, the Rolls Royce Phantom was unveiled in 2003
to great fanfare and acclaim and was the first model produced under
BMWs ownership. The design and the engineering team spent four
years to develop the new Phantom with the result a vehicle that was
obviously inspired by the legendary originals, retaining the
traditional design cues, but built on a unique platform with a body
made mostly of aluminum. The Rolls Royce factory located in
Goodwood, West Sussex used robots to produce the Phantom, but with
the final assembly completed by hand as was traditional for both
Rolls-Royce & Bentley. The cars were further unique in
being custom built, as had been the legacy of the original
Rolls-Royce's, with the body, paint color, wood, leather, all
options and specs, to be built specifically according to the
customers individual specification. Hand-assembled by the
Rolls-Royce technicians in Goodwood, the heart of the new Phantom
was a naturally aspirated 6.75-liter V12 engine. The unit was mated
with a 6-speed automatic transmission and developed a massive 720
pound-feet of torque, with the luxurious and huge Phantom reaching
over 60mph in an astounding 5.7 seconds! Inside, simplicity defined
the Phantoms interior. The rarely used controls were kept out of
sight and even the multimedia screen was hidden behind a revolving
panel placed in the center of the dashboard. The most advanced and
modern of technology available was combined with traditional
hand-craftmanship, offering a both unique and luxurious feel. The
rear cabin was equipped with picnic tables and 12-inch monitors
linked to a six-DVD changer, besides allowing to view digital
television Also hand assembled in Goodwood, the Rolls-Royce Wraith
was built in order to replace the earlier 2-door car model, the
Phantom Coupe and built on the basis of the Ghost, unlike the
earlier model which was based on the 7th generation Phantom, the
flagship car model of Rolls-Royce Motor cars until the arrival of
the 8th generation. It is the fastest car made by Rolls-Royce Motor
Cars and was built from 2013-2022, having been unveiled at the 2013
Geneva Motor Show. The introduction of the Rolls-Royce Wraith was
that of a truly unique vehicle. And so it ought to be. Our 2015
Wraith listed for $363,300. Such a price might sound ridiculous but
these cars are not merely about catering to the 1 percent. They are
about creating the finest, state-of-the-art grand touring vehicles
possible, using unfettered engineering and craftsmanship and
technology. With its massive 6.6-liter Twin Turbo V-12 engine with
oodles of power and torque and technology, like lane-departure
warnings, front, rear and top cameras, and the latest mapping data,
whilst enveloping the driver (and passengers) in hand-stitched
leather, bespoke controls, and an overall interior so luscious with
deep, downy carpeting, oak paneling and star-studded ceiling of
fiber-optic lights!The Wraith's unique technology, specifically the
ability to read topographic information about the road ahead and
automatically adjusting the transmission and shifting of the car as
whilst using the GPS system, this luxury vehicle can anticipate
hills and make adjustments to maintain your speed all without the
driver being aware of the intervention. It works whether you're
under the built-in navigation system's guidance or not.Even in the
market for ultra-exclusive vehicles, the two-door 2015 Rolls-Royce
Wraith coupe stands out as one very unique vehicle and it was the
most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built. Either one of these would be
a great reason for purchasing this rolling piece of prominence, but
our reasoning would be the Wraiths actual experience behind the
wheel experience. Yes this Rolls is intended to actually be driven
by the owner and not a chauffeurBased on the Ghost sedan, the
experience is a bit of a throwback, to a time when high-end cars
were made to ride smooth whilst still remaining mechanical wonders;
not the sensor-intensive, computer controlled, luxury standards of
today.Powered by a BMW-derived 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 that
produces 624 horsepower mated to an eight-speed Satellite Aided
Transmission (SAT) that chooses gears based upon information
gathered from the navigation system and routes power to the rear
wheels. This combo is good for a 0-to-60 run of 4.4 seconds and an
electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The power it delivers,
all 624-horsepower, and 590 lb-ft. of torque may seem extreme but
its the effortless delivery that is truly remarkable all whilst
boasting its very striking fastback design! Open the door and
occupants are greeted with the new open-grain wood paneling, which
encompasses the majority of the inner door panel. Finished in a
light satin finish, the open-grain wood is angled at 55 degrees,
which improves the visual flow of the interior which when matched
to its Starlight Headliner is quite breathtaking. Composed of 1,340
individual fiber optic lights, which are hand-woven into the
leather roof lining, the Starlight Headliner is a bespoke option
designed to mimic the starry night sky above the heads of the
occupants with this stunning light show setting buyers back some
serious money! The Rolls-Royce Dawn and Wraith are no longer
available to order as the British luxury carmaker prepares for the
launch of the pure-electric Spectre in the last...for more
