Vehicle Description
While most older trucks are put out to pasture after their tenure
as ranch hands or construction laborers is over, a few occasionally
get to experience a second life. Whether that be as a fully stock
restoration or something more fun like this 1968 Chevrolet C10
Restomod, sometimes, just as in human life, retirement can be far
more exciting. One look at its full repaint in a gorgeous Teal
Patina and big 20-inch U.S. Mags mounted on low-profile rubber, and
it's not hard to tell this truck is something special.
Inside, we find a color-matched dashboard and trim offset by
jet-black original-looking seats. The seven analog gauges sitting
in front of the driver utilize digital readouts for mileage and
engine temperature, while a cool-blue hue glows as a backlight to
give another hint at the chill personality this truck exudes from
every angle. The upgraded Pioneer stereo allows for a bit more
modern entertainment, while the old-school HVAC levers remind you
how far this truck has come in time.
Under the hood is where this truck turns from laid back to
aggressive. A modern 5.3-liter LS Vortec V-8 topped with 862 heads
sits comfortably in the clean and spacious engine bay. Power from
that small block is then sent through a 4L60E four-speed automatic
transmission before heading out to the 12 bolt rear end. A true
dual exhaust with an H-pipe takes spent gases from the shorty
headers and sends them out through a sweet-sounding FlowMaster
exhaust to give this C10 a rumble worthy of a true restomod.

character. Power steering and power front disc brakes make long
trips far more comfortable, as they should be. We may never know
what this truck's first life was all about, but one thing is for
sure, this resurrected version is definitely a lot more fun. The
only thing it's missing is an owner to enjoy the ride with it. Call
