Melanson Motors is proud to offer this 1971 GMC Jimmy 4x4. This nut
and bolt restored example comes with several tasteful upgrades for
a more comfortable driving experience. This Jimmy is powered by a
strong running 396 engine which features an aluminum Edelbrock
intake, 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, and headers. The exhaust is
a custom 3" stainless system with a Magnaflow muffler. The
transmission is a 3 speed automatic TH350. The rear end is a 12
bolt positraction. This GMC has power disc brakes and power
steering. Rancho Suspension 3 inch lift shocks have been installed.
The Metallic Burgundy paint is nearly flawless and the body is
straight. All the gaps are excellent and the glass is in great
shape. All the chrome and stainless on this truck is new or
restored. A new Softopper soft top is installed. Underneath, this
Jimmy is excellent. At the time of restoration, the undercarriage
was coated in black rock guard coating. The truck has a tidy custom
interior with power leather bucket seats from an F150. A center
console with storage and cupholders is also present. It has a new
three spoke steering wheel with a tilt steering column. The dash
and gauge cluster are original style and everything works as it
should. An aftermarket Alpine radio deck is mounted neatly in the
center of the dash. Alpine speakers are installed in the doors,
with Pioneer subwoofers behind the rear seats and an Ultimate
amplifier. The custom stereo sounds great! The truck rides on 15"
American Racing Baja wheels. The tires are brand new 35 x 12.5 BF
Goodrich All Terrain K02. This Jimmy starts and runs smoothly. It
cruises great even at highway speeds and has a comfortable
interior. A nicely restored, no excuses 1971 GMC Jimmy. These
trucks are very hard to find and are rarely seen restored to this
level. Don't miss this opportunity. ENGINE CASTING NUMBER
