Oldsmobile only offered the Jetstar briefly from 1964 to 1965 to
compete directly against the Pontiac Grand Prix. The Jetstar 1 was
based on the Starfire but had fewer luxury and power options as
standard. Despite being stripped of many of the standard options
that the Starfire had, the Jetstar 1 came standard with bucket
cloth seats, center console w/ tachometer, and the very potent 345
HP 394 cubic inch V8. This 1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar 1 is a nice,
driver quality example of these seldom seen classics. This Jetstar
1 benefits from a repaint in its current White exterior that
presents well. The White exterior is in good condition throughout
and is complimented nicely by its factory chrome and stainless trim
and chrome Cragar S/S wheels wrapped in Hankook tires. The
Oldsmobiles' factory Brown cloth interior is in very good condition
for the age and features its correct bucket seats and its factory
center console with tachometer. Powering this great Oldsmobile is
its 345HP 394 cubic inch V8 backed by its 3-speed Roto-Hydramatic
automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform
just as they should. This Jetstar 1 is nicely equipped with
features such as: power steering, power brakes, AM/FM stereo
(in-op), center console mounted tachometer, auxiliary water temp
and oil pressure gauges, Uniden CB radio, variable speed wipers,
and heater/defrost. Included in the sale of this Oldsmobile is a
collection of spare parts, shop manuals and memorabilia including
two custom Jetstar 1 jackets. If you are in the market for a seldom
seen Oldsmobile with some great V8 muscle that is turn-key ready to
drive anywhere and would present well at your local cruise-in, then
you will want to take a very close look at this 1964 Oldsmobile
Jetstar 1.
