Vehicle Description
Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this beautiful 1960 Nash
Metropolitan Convertible. In 1960 there were 15,548 Nash
Metropolitans built. It is believed that only 20% of that
production were convertibles, and that only 10% of all Nash
Metropolitans survive to this day. Thus, this vehicle may be only
one of 310 convertibles still in existence. This vehicle presents
well, runs and drives very well. The vehicle is on its third owner
who has always stored it indoors. The vehicle is powered by the
original 1500cc (1.5litre) four-cylinder motor that was rebuilt
about 12 years ago but has less than 3500 miles since the rebuild.
In addition, the carburetor has been rebuilt, and the vehicle has
been upgraded to an internal regulated 12-volt alternator. The
motor transfers the power to the rear wheels via the original three
speed manual transmission. The original convertible top has been
replaced and is in good shape and works properly. The original
bench seat has been removed and replaced with bucket seats believed
to be from a Mustang. The back of the seats is becoming brittle,
and the interior of the door panels do appear a bit weathered, as
they are original. The vehicle is a fun ride with the top down to
enjoy the fresh air. The only rust is some surface rust on the
undercarriage, but the body panels and paint are in great shape.
The speedometer, oil pressure gauge, windshield wipers, and lights
all work properly. While originally a Frost White & Classic Black
vehicle, the paint was changed to Frost White & Berkshire Green.
The Metropolitan's small size and responsive steering make it a joy
to drive in urban environments, where its compact dimensions and
maneuverability shine. With its soft suspension and light weight,
the Metropolitan offers a comfortable and engaging driving
experience that is sure to put a smile on your face. The vehicle
has a clean title and is located in Springfield, Oregon with an
asking price of $19,995. Please contact Tom F (269-317-3955) for
