Update: I need to sell before winter sets in! Price reduction of $1000 on 10/25/2024. Rare hot rod project. 1930 Model A Sport Coupe. I purchased this project more than a decade ago as a shipping container filled with a rolling vehicle and lots of parts. Someone long ago started to build a traditional hot rod, got to a mock up stage, then packed it all away. They put in a flathead v-8, transmission, and later axles (juice brakes) then stopped with the build, quite some time ago, possibly as far back as the 50’s. I am unfortunately not going to be able to complete it due to age and health reasons. Included are most of the parts to build it as a full fender car, I noticed that there is very old and cool pin striping visible under the patina on the front fenders.
The body is very solid with surface rust apparent, (the reason I bought it) no upholstery, but the seat frames are there. Included are spare (1940’s ?) front and rear axles with wish bones, brakes, rear spring and extra set of wire wheels. If you are taller and find the fit in a model A roadster too tight, a sport couple offers more leg room and fit me very well at 5’11 inch height. Hoping to pass this car to someone who appreciates the hot rod history and would build with that in mind.
