This week, Canyon State Classics brings to market a ROW 1991
Porsche 944 S2 finished in L92 Polar Silver Metallic over CP Cobalt
Blue w Studio Check cloth. This rare P-car was purchased in Germany
as a Porsche-certified unit in Dec of 1994 by a US State Official
who enjoyed the car before bringing it back to the US in the late
90's. Soon after, the importing owner moved the car to AZ and cared
for it it through 2010. The car then changed hands once in 2012
before finding its way to us. This is car #77 of the final 130 ROW
units produced for the 944's last production year. This example has
been well-cared for by its custodians and we did our best job to
ensure this 944 is ready for its next owner. This car has undergone
extensive mechanical refurbishment and other reconditioning to get
it into its best form. This car has all its documentation back to
purchase in '94, import to US and maintenance from that point until

The body on this 944 is finished in L92 Polar Silver Metallic which
was a special order color for 1991. This P-car was sent through our
detail department and just fully buffed and hand waxed. The body
and paint is in exceptional shape and features one recent respray
in its original color. The car is arrow straight up high and
totally rust free. Carfax is clean and this car has been inspected
by our 944 master tech and given a clean bill with no signs of
previous damage. This 944 has always been garage kept and pampered
its entire life and really shows. The exterior of this car is
comparable to that of a car with half the miles and while there are
a few minor blemishes, we have made an effort to detail them in the
photos. The car's original Porsche "Design 90" wheels and center
caps are adorned in brand new toyo tires.
The beautiful Cobalt Blue interior is a stand-out thanks to the
blue studio check cloth inserts that were optioned from the
factory. This space is in excellent shape and features power
functions on both the driver and passenger buckets. The original
Blaupunkt Symphony is still on board and functional! The fit and
finish of this interior is exceptional and is a true testament to
the car in ownership this car has experienced! Everything works in
the car.. lights, gauges, radio, seats, windows, locks, a/c blows
ice cold, etc. The car will also include its correct original
manuals pictured and tool kit.
Mechanically, this Porsche is in great condition and runs and
drives great. We have all the maintenance documentation going back
to 1994, it can be viewed via the last photo in the gallery or via
the summary list below. The 944 was just though our shop and under
the eye of our Porsche certified mechanic who's very familiar with
these cars. This Porsche has just had a complete ($9k- pictured)
refurbishment after the timing belt broke and the following was
addressed: new complete cylinder head, head gasket, 4 hydraulic
lifters, cam chain tensioner/ retainers, cam position sensor, crank
sensor, water hoses, water pump, ignition rotor, timing belt,
thermostat, coolant, rollers/ tensioners, balance shaft o-rings,
heater valve, ac service and LOF The car starts right up and goes
down the road well.
