This 1959 Chevrolet El Camino was refurbished under prior ownership
and is finished in black over a red interior. Power is provided by
a 283ci paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission,
and features include red-accented moldings and chrome bed rails. It
is also equipped with an AM radio, a heater, a bench seat, and red
and black carpets. The body was refinished in black during the
refurbishment in 2019 and features red-accented side moldings,
chrome bed rails, and "cat's eye" taillights. Braking is handled by
drums at all four corners. The front bench seat is upholstered in
red vinyl and is joined by a color-coordinated dashboard,
headliner, and door panels. Equipment includes a heater, a
push-button radio, and red and black carpets. The two-spoke
steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph
speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 1k
miles, which is said to be the mileage added since the
refurbishment. The 283ci V8 features a Rochester carburetor and an
orange-finished engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement
aluminum Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission.
The Black 14?Factory steel wheels wear bowtie-branded center caps
and are mounted with American Classic narrow-whitewall tires comes
with the car. A full-size spare is mounted beneath the bed.
