Vehicle Description
Chevrolet trucks produced between 1967 and 1972 are extremely
popular with truck enthusiasts and one look at this clean truck
explains why. Chevy made many different versions of these trucks,
but most sought after today is the model featured here: the 1971
Chevrolet C/10 Fleetside short bed. Never abused or heavily
altered, this classic C/10 is mostly stock in appearance with
upgrades done in just the right areas to create a great looking
truck that is still practical and enjoyable to drive.
Subject of a frame-off restoration, the paint and trim on this
classic Chevy C/10 look great, starting with the turquoise paint
that has a high-gloss, but with a patinaed finish full of character
and accented with a white painted roof. Bright chrome plated
bumpers front and rear, as well some carefully placed old school
pinstriping compliment the paint color beautifully. Lowered with
CCP spindles and rear coil springs and blocks, it also has a
relocated track bar for stability and smoother cruising. Completing
the clean look of this classic are a set of five-spoke mag wheels
staggered with tires 245/55R18 front and rear 275/55R20 for perfect
stance.
The beautifully restored interior features red colored reproduction
upholstery with matching CST western-style door panels, removable
red armrest with cup holders, Ididit tilt steering column with
red-rimmed custom polished banjo-style steering wheel, red carpet
and rubber floormats with flames. The matching turquoise painted
dash has custom installed, white-faced Dolphin gauges and a Kenwood
AM/FM/CD player with AUX port. A quality Old Air air conditioning
system charged with R134a keeps the cabin cool on hot days.
Under the hood is a healthy 454 big block crate engine mated to a
TH400 automatic transmission. Some of the quality mechanical
upgrades include polished Pro Comp aluminum intake manifold topped
with a QuickFuel carburetor, finned aluminum valve covers and
matching air cleaner, dual exhaust, a rebuilt 12-bolt rear end with
3:73 gears, power steering and power brakes with discs up front.
The engine bay is clean, simple and easy to work on and service. A
set of photos come with the truck that document the
restoration.
